Xiamen portion of the exhibit — Seven Chinese artists living and working in Xiamen, China, will exhibit selected artworks. The quickly evolving cultural landscape they reflect in their work includes documentation of performance art, installation and photography.
Rotterdam portion of the exhibit — Works from the Unravel the Code course, a multi-disciplinary and multi institution exploration of contemporary digital fabrication processes rooted in a study of traditional craft practices. This class is a recurring collaboration with students from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore and Willem de Kooning Academy (WdKA) in Rotterdam. By sharing knowledge, research, resources, workshops online and face-to-face meetings, this class infuses new engagements and opportunities for the students on both sides of the ocean.
