Belinda Kilby has been a visual artist for as long as she can remember. Belinda earned dual degrees in Art from SU and Art Education from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, which led her to teach art for Baltimore City Public Schools for ten years. In 2010 she began creating drone aerial photography along with her husband, Terry Kilby. Eventually, advances in drone technology enabled Belinda to operate camera mounts with her own controller while Terry focuses on piloting. Together, they now have two tech startups, Elevated Element & Aerial Array. With an education background, they have taught others about drones through STEM Maker Camps, speaking and writing books on the topic. Their first book, Drone Art: Baltimore was the first photo book shot with unmanned aerial vehicles. The second book is an instructional guide called Make: Getting Started With Drones.
